This is what Elder Gross had to say these past two weeks:
"Hey so things are going much better with my new companion, Elder Yee. He is from Rancho Cucamonga, CA. It took a little bit to warm up to each other, but now we are doing well and I am much happier too! Some members in the ward commented to me that I look happier too:)I know President knew I was struggling with my last companionship.
Easter Sunday we had a baptism for Cody, who is 11. I got to baptize him and it was great. The spirit was really strong and some of his partially active family gave the talks. Cool stuff! All our other investigators are progressing at their own speed, but they are still moving forward, so that is good. Yesterday we taught a really good lesson to Kaz. He committed to do everything without us even asking him. I hope and pray that he is closer than we think to baptism.
I think this might be my last transfer in this area:( I'm going to be so sad when I have to leave. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna cry, since the members and people here are basically family to me now.
Last week on Easter Sunday I spoke in Sacrament meeting. I felt the spirit so strong it was awesome to me and I was all choked up as usual. I also went to the Temple last week and that was fun too. The temple here is tiny compared to what I am use to.
The weather here is warming up and I am excited about that. On P-days lately we have been going Mt. biking and it is fun because it's real muddy and fun to ride in:)
Well that is it for now. Things are good..... I love you!"
Love, Elder Gross
